OUR STORY

THE MOVEMENT BEHIND THE MISSION
Stevens Media House was built to empower women—and that commitment extends beyond our client work. Every project we take on supports a larger purpose: creating space for women-led brands to rise, lead, and influence with impact. Each year, we donate 3% of our profits to women’s rights organizations, ensuring our mission stretches beyond strategy and into systemic change.
We believe that women-led and women-focused brands deserve industry-shaping influence.
After more than a decade in strategic communications, our founder, Micaela Stevens, saw a glaring gap: too many female entrepreneurs and purpose-driven brands were overlooked, underfunded, and underserved, despite offering powerful stories and game-changing solutions.
So she founded Stevens Media House to change that.
We’re here to amplify women-led and women-focused brands—brands with vision, with voice, with values that drive culture forward. Through strategy, storytelling, and soul, we turn purpose into presence and passion into platforms that move markets and minds.
WHAT DRIVES US
We’re not just an agency. That’s so 2019.
We’re your strategic partner, your advocate, and your biggest supporter.
Our work is rooted in values that shape everything we do:

Empowerment
Helping women-led brands step fully into their influence.

Bold Strategy
Creating campaigns and content that ignite movements.

Visibility with Purpose
Ensuring our clients are seen, heard, respected, and celebrated across every platform and touchpoint.
We’re not here to play small. And we know you aren’t either.
MEET MICAELA
Founder. Storyteller. Strategist. Advocate.
With nearly a decade of experience and over 100+ client wins under her belt, she brings a rare blend of global perspective, strategic acumen, and creative insight to every brand she touches.
Raised across some of the world’s most vibrant cities—Hong Kong, Tokyo, Singapore, and Beijing—Micaela was immersed in a kaleidoscope of cultures from the time she could walk. That global upbringing fuels her work with a rich, inclusive perspective and a deep appreciation for the nuance of connection.
She’s shaped strategies for everyone from billion-dollar luxury brands to mission-driven startups, always with one goal in mind: turning bold ideas into real-world influence.
Micaela holds a Master of Arts from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School—ranked the top communications program in the world—where she now guest lectures on strategic storytelling. Her foundation in advocacy, honed during years spent organizing for reproductive justice and supporting survivors of sexual assault, remains the guiding force behind her work.
Stevens Media House is the embodiment of her vision: an agency that helps women-led and women-focused brands lead louder, connect deeper, and make a lasting impact.

I CAN’T WAIT TO CRAFT YOUR STORY.
HERE’S A PEEK AT MINE.

2015
FINDING MY FOOTING IN LA
I began my career doing social media marketing work, and even got to host red carpet interviews. Favorite interviews? Lauren Conrad and Aly Raisman, of course. Living in Los Angeles meant I was surrounded by incredible opportunities, and I quickly learned how much I loved telling other people’s stories.

SHIFTING TO FASHION & LIFESTYLE PR
I dove into fashion, hospitality, and lifestyle marketing and PR. This was where I discovered how much I loved helping brands grow through strategy, storytelling, and media.

SHIFTING TO FASHION & LIFESTYLE PR
Professionally, I joined my favorite grad school professor and mentor at a PR firm, where I worked on high-level, top-secret crisis communications projects (NDAs on NDAs…I’ll never spill, but let’s just say you’ve read about some of them 👀).
Personally, it was a year of heartbreak and change. I found out the person I thought I’d marry had been unfaithful. So, I packed my car, road-tripped cross-country with my cousin, and started over in New York.

2017
FINDING MY VOICE
This was the year I became deeply involved in activism. I advocated for Planned Parenthood, Title IX reform, and sexual assault survivors’ rights — and even spoke at the Me Too March alongside Tarana Burke and other changemakers.

GROWTH, GRIT, AND GRADUATION
I earned my Master’s in Public Relations from the University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism…the #1 communications school in the country (not-so-humble brag!). Today, I’m honored to guest lecture there, speaking to the next generation of communicators.
But 2021 wasn’t just about academics; it was a pivotal personal year. After 12 years of excruciating pain and being dismissed by doctors, I finally got a diagnosis: stage 4 endometriosis. My surgery was intense. I nearly lost my left ovary and spent more days in the hospital than I expected.
I also accepted a role at an experiential marketing agency, where I had the opportunity to work with some of my dream clients in the hospitality, food, beverage, beauty, and lifestyle sectors.

THE PRESENT: BETTING ON MYSELF
Despite glowing feedback from our biggest client at my hush-hush big girl job, there was no raise or growth path in sight…so I quit. I bet on myself and built my business from the ground up. Today, I get to hand-select my clients and work on projects that light me up.
